All ready for the new season!

The nights are getting lighter and the cricket field has had its first cut & roll!!

The 2022 cricket season is just around the corner!

After last years excellent season we cannot wait to get going in 2022 - in fact the cricket has already started with both our Ladies & Men's teams taking part in the indoor cricket league this winter.

Indoor nets have also started with our juniors training on Saturday afternoons and our senior team on Monday evenings both at KLB.

I have been amazed by how many people have told me over the winter that they cannot wait to get back up the cricket field - either Playing, Supporting or coaching.

Lets hope we are in for a glorious summer and that 2022 is even better than last season!

We will be starting the season on our get ready day on the 26th March - If you can come along and help please do! We will be at the field from 9am with various jobs to do like putting the nets back up or tidying the pavilion.

GCB Grant & Pavilion Improvements

We are delighted to announce that work on the pavilion will soon commence. After a winter of planning & grant applications we learned last week that we were successful in our application for a GCB welcoming environment grant.
In the coming weeks we will be removing the front doors & windows and replacing them with a Bi Fold door. We hope this will open up the pavilion making it a more welcoming space as well as improving disabled access.
We are also converting our store room into a larger ladies toilets. With ladies membership growing massively over recent years as well as our All Stars evenings and large crowds watching on match days we have struggled with only one shared ladies/disabled toilet.
We are pleased to say we will now have a two cubicle dedicated ladies bathroom.
Many thanks to Ken Fowler & Tim Watts for all their help throughout the planning of this project.

Events
After a couple of years of Covid uncertainty we have been unable to plan to far ahead with social events. We are hoping this year will be different so you may have noticed some events being added to the our website and app.
We are planning to have an extended All Stars evening once a month where we will have a kids disco after training has finished. We have also planned some events after senior games on Saturdays. All can be found on the events section on the app or website.
We have saved September 10th for this years Presentation Day after last years very successful event.
We have also been asked by the village jubilee committee to host a event on the Friday of the Jubilee weekend which can announce will be our family rounders day.
