With the 2026 season approaching, winter training is now well underway for Hawkesbury Cricket Club. Our February sessions at the Wotton Sports Centre (KLB) have seen a consistent and encouraging turnout as players begin their preparations for the summer ahead.
It has been a productive start to the year. The lanes have been busy, allowing everyone to get some useful time in the nets.
Preparation for Saturday and Sunday Cricket
As we move through the winter schedule, the club is looking to build depth across all sections. We will again be fielding three Saturday XIs in the WEPL and Gloucestershire Leagues, offering a range of competitive cricket.
For those who prefer a more relaxed game, our Sunday Friendly side continues to be a core part of the club. These matches provide a great opportunity for social cricket at our home ground, which remains one of the highlights of playing for Hawkesbury.
Joining the Club
We remain open to new players of all experience levels. Whether you are moving to the area, returning to the sport after a break, or simply looking for a new club, you are more than welcome to join a session.
The atmosphere is relaxed, and the goal is simply to ensure everyone feels part of the team before the first ball is bowled in April.
